Metal Lee

An ongoing post of all of my headcanons I collect for this journal. I apologize if none of these match with the way you may see this character. I don't insist that these are canon in any way, and encourage lots of interpretation across the fandom. They are fully my thoughts based on things I would like to see, and conversations I have with friends.

Unless Proven Otherwise: (Headcanons that are crucial in shaping the way I play this character)

• Metal Lee is the child of Rock Lee and Tenten.
• Unlike his dad, Metal is capable of molding chakra and willingly chose to devote his energy 100% to Taijutsu.

Quirks: 

• Metal was offended as a child that academy classes still do not hold lessons for kids that can't mold chakra. He was insistent on being graded by his merits in taijutsu alone, though his mom did convince him to at least learn the other basics.
• His parents are overly affectionate to the point of being embarrassing, and often will spread that affection onto him before he leaves for training, even in front of his friends. He often complains, but would be legitimately upset if they stopped.
• He will 1000% go to bat against anyone that so much as thinks a ninja can't do just taijutsu and nothing else.
• He's well-rounded in his ability to use weapons, but doesn't have a particular preference. If asked he'll lean more towards blunt weapons than sharp ones.
• He's contracted with turtles, and has one specific turtle that he summons exclusively who is young enough to grow with him.
• Her name is Wanigame. She's absurdly protective of him, even though she is smol.
• His chakra reserves are smaller than most nin, so he has to make it up with excellent control.
• He spends 90% of his training on Taijutsu, but when he has to rest his body he studies sealing with his mom. He's not good at complicated ones, but he can use what he needs to be efficient on missions.
• Tenten is terrifying, and her survival training is the hardest thing Metal has ever done. It often involves blindness and lots of dodging.
